Welcome
to Camelot Party Music Serving all parts of Santa Rosa, Sonoma County
and Wine Country of Northern California
YOU
PAY FOR OUR EXPERIENCE - We have done hundreds of events such as yours
either as D.J.'s or musicians. Don't be bewildered about D.J. equipment.
If we know the number of people and the approximate size of
the
room and what you want us to accomplish (which is usually to promote
fun) we can determine the speaker size and amplification necessary.
PICKING THE BEST MUSIC
Is probably best accomplished by:
Your requests and our suggestions prior to
your event. At the time of your party it is often
best to allow the D.J. enough freedom to choose the
music that is suitable as the need changes throughout
the party. Here - we are referring to whether people
are dancing to one type of music over another-and
this may have been unexpected.
Playing
the Hits: Dance * Motown * Rap * Hip Hop
* Swing * Big Band * Club * 50's * 60's * 70's
* 80's * 90's * Current * R&B * Country
* Salsa and more . . . . .
We
will try our best to provide the music that you
need to create the atmosphere that you expect. We
have had the experience with formal weddings where
it is important to look well dressed (tux) and sound
appropriate by keeping the music elegant for as
long as is expected until the guests are ready to
loosen their collars and let their hair down. Also
here we understand the importance of working closely
with the photographer and the caterer to keep things
running smoothly
Then
- There is the opposite type
of party such as a Birthday or ClassReunion where
you might wish the D.J. to interject more talking
or comments between the music selections to help promote
a more fun and relaxed atmosphere. It is usually important
at the beginning of most functions to keep the volume
at a low level to allow guests the ability to talk
comfortably especially during dinnertime.You might
keep in mind that the best songs to request are hit
songs or well known music. As an example: certain
hard rock songs may be overbearing - and hard to dance
to and therefore may not be a good choice especially
with an audience of all ages
